Pregnant PMS

Pregnant or PMS? Which is your body going through? PMS (premenstrual syndrome) and being pregnant can cause very similar sensations and symptoms and you may not know which you are experiencing. This is especially true if you have a much worse attack of PMS symptoms than usual, perhaps leading you to think it's something more; that you're pregnant. Knowing whether you are in fact pregnant or just suffering from PMS is obviously vital and the sooner the better!

PMS and being pregnant (in the early stages) can lead to a range of almost identical symptoms. Typically, these include sickness, mood swings, bloating, tiredness, putting on a little extra weight, dizziness and headache etc. Being pregnant and PMS lead to such a similar range of physical and emotional symptoms because they are both triggered by similar changes in the body's hormone levels.

If the PMS phase of your menstrual cycle isn't followed by your period and symptoms continue into what should your cycle, you could have the first signs of being pregnant. It's imperative that you confirm whether or not you are pregnant with a range of good home pregnancy test kits and an appointment with your doctor as soon as possible.

If you are pregnant, you really need to plan, prepare and take measures to ensure your health and the best health for your baby are guaranteed. Therefore, it's vital to find out as soon as you can. If it turns out that you aren't pregnant and are just having a bad attack of PMS then there's always the next month to fall pregnant (should you want to of course!).
