The old mad-libs makes a good form for our premenstrual honey do needs wants and desires. They’re rarely the same every month and a good boyfriend or husband just roles with the punches to keep the peace at home.
Please cut and paste the following Honey-Do form letter into your email program to get the pms comfort rolling.*
"Dear [name of your significant other],
I [pick one or make up your own: wife/girlfriend/concubine/finder-of-the-second-sock//baseball-buddy], am you that coming up next week, on [month, day] my monthly PMS begins the dog cowers, and the cat flees.
Short of realigning the planets to put an end to the monthly horror, or waving my magic wand, there’s not much I can do, so in the meantime, I want to let you know that I am feeling particularly [enter adjectives] this month because [pick or make up your own: I love you and know that Venezuela’s a non-extradition country/because I know we can kick this sucker’s ass together with herbal remedies and yoga/ and because in a few years *poof* no more PMS just menopause then isn’t smooth sailing to death!
One thing that would make me feel better and much more in the mood to [enter one thing your significant other wants] is if you [pick one or makeup your own: massage my feet every night/bring me chocolate measured in metric tons/go down on me for no fewer than 30 minutes/run a bath for me and leave the house while I’m in it for at least an hour nightly].
I realize that this is a lot to ask but remember when you [OPTION 1: enter totally ridiculous thing he had you do at some point in the past to fulfill some sexual fantasy or cover some huge faux pas at work?] that saved both your manliness and your fragile pride?
[OPTION 2: said you loved me for better or worse? This is the worse part but I promise I’m working hard on my PMS so we can both enjoy a better, more even life that doesn’t resemble summer rollercoaster ride once a month, every month.].
Love,
